Good Morning! Thank You! And Welcome!
Good Morning!
I wanted to write to let you know what’s going on. You may be wondering where the posts are. Sometimes, you’ll see 3-4 posts in a week, and sometimes, just one. There are a couple of reasons for this.
The first is my family. I build my schedule around my kids and family business. When you don’t see many posts, it’s because my family needs more of my time that week. Recently, Oliver joined the Brentseville Football team, which means a lot of driving back and forth to school and nights studying x’s and o’s.
Additionally, with school starting back up in a few weeks, Hardhits is slammed. My wife has done an excellent job cultivating relationships with new clients over the past year, and the fruits are ready to pick. As a result, I have jumped in back to help her and the team out as they go through a busy season.
The second reason is that I am learning. There is a lot of history out there. Sometimes, I process a lot of information at once, and it takes me time to craft it into something digestible for the audience. But rest assured, I am working hard to bring you historical and family-focused content that has value.
I also want to thank all of you for making the Podcast with Kevin Kosar about congressional reform the most-watched Politics and Parenting episode yet. It’s great to see such interest in a very important topic. And welcome to all the new subscribers who signed up after listening. I hope you enjoy the platform. Please feel free to join the conversation by emailing me (jeff@politicsandparenting.com) or leaving a comment.
Yesterday, I recorded a fantastic Podcast with André Béliveau, a political theorist, about the political problems of congressional reform. Look for it later this week.
And if you really miss my writing, check out my recent articles in The Hill about how Republicans are playing a dangerous game with DEI and in the Blaze about Why J.D. Vance Matters.
Peace & Love,
Jeff Mayhugh
