Nikki Haley is the leader middle-class American families want.
Talking serious accountability.
Last night, Nikki Haley was in Tyson’s Corner, rallying voters to support her in the upcoming Super Tuesday election. Haley, the former South Carolina governor, spoke with a packed crowd full of former military, moms and dads, and immigrants fearful of the rise of autocratic rulers in the world.
Haley spoke with clarity and a southern folksy charm. She was funny when joking about Biden’s unfitness for office. She was serious when talking about policy and how Trump and Biden have continued to saddle future generations with massive debt. She was tough when talking about the autocrats leading Russia and China and their grasping for power as America’s isolationist leaders watch. She was, in a word, Presidential.
Haley was interrupted several times during her speech by Palestine protestors. The crowd enthusiastically supported Haley and began cheering NIKKI! NIKKI! NIKKI! When the chant died down, Haley made a point of leading the crowd, letting them know that even though we may disagree, the protesters had a right to protest, touching on her husband’s service to protect that right. Haley handled them with class and dignity.
Getting to the heart of her speech, Haley focused on immigration, abortion, foreign policy, and the economy. She talked about how federalism can help solve some of our problems and bring more accountability to the process. Haley to strengthen asylum laws. She wants a strong border, and instead of “catch and release,” she wants to “catch and deport.” Haley would stand up to the autocrats by building stronger relationships with our allies. Haley wants to restart the abortion debate by building common sense consensus and stopping late-term abortions.
Haley focused most of her time talking about policy and separating herself from the “fellas,” but she also took time to hit Congress. Pointing out that Congress has yet again failed to pass a budget on time. In fact, Haley reminded the crowd that Congress has only passed a budget on time four times in the past forty years. Haley plans to stand up and hold Congress accountable for their ineffectiveness and their fiscal irresponsibility, reminding us that when she was South Carolina's governor, she balanced the budget; we have to balance our budgets at home, so why should Congress get a pass?
Before ending, Haley took a moment to explain why she was running. Speaking with honesty about how the world is on fire, Haley is running for her kids. She is running for all the moms and dads out there worried about their kids' future. Haley says our children deserve to know what normal feels like. They deserve stability.
Walking around the room and speaking with Haley supporters, there is a common thread. It’s a room full of people who feel unrepresented and powerless. They believe Haley is representing them. They want to empower her to serve. They don’t care she is a long shot. They won’t compromise their principles for political wins. They want a leader, and they believe Haley is that leader.
Nikki Haley may be a long-shot candidate, but she is the leader America needs. She is the leader Moms and Dads want. She would focus on solutions instead of problems. She would hold Russia, China, and Congress accountable. She would represent those unrepresented and empower the powerless to come out of the shadows.
So, while everyday American citizens may feel left out, there is no reason to stay home. Get out and have your voice heard, and vote on Tuesday. And if you are tired of being ignored, bring some friends.
Peace and Love,
Jeff Mayhugh
I am so sorry you feel that way. I am a mom and a grandmother who has worked hard to support her family, and I do not feel that way. She is so far from whom I want running this country! And she is totally supported by the globalist machina who would take our inherent rights! No. Absolutely not. Which is why her support is so pathetically low. She is not what we ordinary parents want!
